Legacy work can be overwhelming and even intimidating. It can also be fun, which is why I'm here. As a writer, editor, and generally curious human, I’ve been interviewing and writing about people for 25 years, asking questions of anyone who's walked a mile or road I haven't. For me, listening to and sharing stories is the best way to understand the world around us.

Besides writing and editing professionally for over two decades, I'm also a certified yoga teacher, community events coordinator, party planner, mom to our five-year-old daughter Jolene, and former outdoor adventure guide. In short, I get my kicks from holding space for people of all ages to play, grow, and ultimately express themselves.  

So it seems My Legacy Work is, in fact, helping you create your legacy work. I'm Joy Martin, a creative living in Durango, Colorado, and I look forward to hearing what's brought you here today.
